Industry Standards - Value of the Rules
We wouldn’t entrust an airline pilot without a license to fly a plane, which is why we are very careful in ensuring all nursing, healthcare, and education professionals have up-to-date credentials. An expired license or certificate is the same as not having one. The same goes for any credential really. You have to stay up to date with all credentials or you can’t work. Those are the rules. It’s not only about having confidence in the quality of care being delivered, but also about legally protecting everyone. A professional with valid credentials can deliver care or instruction without fear of repercussions.
We help remind our professionals before any credentials expire, so they have adequate time to renew. If the expiration date arrives in our system and no action has been taken, they can’t work. It’s like planning a one-week trip to Greece with friends only to find out your passport is expired when you arrive to the airport. Don’t let yourself or anyone down and stay up-to-date!
HIPAA, your best friend
Health Source Group wants to remind you of your best friend, HIPPA. You signed the paperwork when you joined us, but it doesn’t end there. Every day you handle personal, sensitive information and that means there is a lot of trust placed in you.
Remember to always keep patient information and identity confidential and secure. When in doubt, don’t do it! If you have any questions, we are always here to help.
Go for the safety record
No injuries means no loss of time. It takes a few seconds to ensure that you’re doing things the right, safe way. In the same way signaling before changing lanes while driving can save you a lot of things, including your life, taking the necessary steps can save you a lot, too. A few seconds isn’t much time at all, compared to missing a week or more of work. Don’t rush. Do things the right way.
Health Source Group values workplace safety for everyone. For the healthcare and education professionals we employ, the people they serve, the clients we work with, and you. Every single professional is given training on workplace dos and don’ts, so they know what is safe and what isn’t. Beyond that, you have to ask yourself the question “What’s the best, safest way I can do this?” If you aren’t sure, ask someone. Again, a few moments now, versus all the time lost afterwards, will make all the difference.
Treat each day like day one of a safety record, and you’ll never break the streak!
